GENERAL INFORMATION

Tournament name:
XIVI International Taekwon-Do (ITF) "Cup of Peter the Great" Tournament, Open Europe Cup
Tournament Dates:
December 9-10, 2006.
Tournament Venue:
Yubileyniy Sports Palace, Dobroliubova pr. 18, St. Petersburg, Russia, “Sportivnaya” metro station
Participants:
All the competitors (male and female) must be 1-st, 2-nd, 3-rd and 4-th Degree black belts only, at least 16 years old by the beginning of the tournament.
Each National Taekwon-Do (ITF) Federation can bring unlimited number of teams.
Events:
The competition will be held according to the ITF Rules considering changes and supplements of the present tournament regulations. The competition will be divided into 7 events: Individual Pattern, Individual Sparring, Individual Power Test, Individual Special Technique, Team Pattern, Team Sparring, Self-Defense Routine.
Team formation order for individual events:
* for pattern any 2 competitors (2 male & 2 female) for each division:
1st division - 1st & 2nd Degree competitors
2nd division - 3rd & 4th Degree competitors
Each participant performs the pattern corresponding to his/ her Degree;
* for sparring - only one competitor in each weight category;
* for special technique and power test - two participants maximum (2 male and 2 female) in each item.
Referees:
Each team has to bring one referee at least of 3-rd Degree, who has Umpire's category or Umpire's experience in the international championships.
Participation fee:
Competitor - 10 EUR , Team - 50 EUR .
Accreditation and check-in of participants : Accreditation and check-in of participants will be held at Alexander Nevsky sq. 2,
“Alexander Nevsky square” metro station, on December 7-8, 2006 from 10.00 to 19.00. Check-in will be completed on December 8, 2006 at 19.00 . Competitors should submit their passports, ITF Degree certificates, an application form filled in by head of delegation, medical insurance.
Accommodation:
Participants, guests and officials of the tournament will be accommodated at the MOSCOW Hotel ***, Alexander Nevsky sq. 2, St. Petersburg, Russia, “Alexander Nevsky square” metro station. It is a nice hotel, located in the city centre, 30 min. drive from the International airport and the Yubileyny Sports Palace.
Accommodation per person per night sharing a Double room is 900 Roubles;
Accommodation per night in a Single room is 1400 Roubles.
Prices include buffet breakfast only.
(The current exchange rate is approximately 26 Roubles to the Dollar and 33 Roubles to the Euro). We have a special offer for hotel reservations sent in advance:
Accommodation per person per night sharing a Double room is 700 Roubles;
Accommodation per night in a Single room is 1000 Roubles.
Prices include buffet breakfast only.

National anthem and flag:
Each team has to bring its national flag and recorded national anthem.
