Tournament dates: The International Taekwon-Do “Cup of Peter the Great” tournament
has been hosted annually since 1990.

Cup The tournament has been held as the Open Europe Cup since 1996.
Tournament venue: One
of the largest covered sports arenas in Europe – Peterburgsky Sports & Concert
Centre. Pr. Y. Gagarina 8, St-Petersburg, Russia
Participants: Over 200 male and female Black Belt competitors aged 16 and above
representing approximately 20 countries take part in the tournament
annually.
Participating countries: Belarus, Belgium, Georgia, Germany, Holland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,
Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Russia, Rumania, Slovenia,
Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland, Croatia,
Czech Republic, Scotland, Estonia, Japan.
Tournament programme: Includes
6 events: Individual and Team Patterns, Individual and Team Sparring,
Individual Power Breaking, Individual Special Technique.
Umpires: Mr. Igor Tcheglov (the International Instructor, 5 th Degee Black
Belt, the International “A ”Umpire) has been the Chief Tournament
Umpire since 1995.
Awards: Medal
sets and 24 Cups are to be won. The Overall Team winner will be
awarded the main prize - Grand Cup of Peter the Great .
