COMPANY HISTORY

The Tornado Company has been providing guarding services since 1990. In the year 1993 after obtaining a license of Municipal Administration of Internal Affairs of St-Petersburg and Leningradsky region, the Tornado Security Service Ltd. was founded as an independent structure. Later on it was transformed into Tornado St-Petersburg Ltd. guard enterprise. Most professionals working for the company are former officers of the Federal Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs or special army units. Among the Company’s founder members are several individuals and Tornado Society Joint Stock Company.
At present over 150 people are working for the Tornado St-Petersburg Ltd. guard enterprise. All guards have private guard licences. Much attention is being given to legal, physical and fire training. Knowledge and skills, acquired in theoretical and practical training, allow employees of the guard enterprise to perform set tasks, to objectively measure situations and make right decisions. There is a special analytical department, which decides on essential guard measures in each particular case.

The governing body of the Tornado St-Petersburg Ltd. guard enterprise gives much attention to the company development, working out effective measures to solve guard activity problems, increase range of services and improve their quality.

The Tornado St-Petersburg Ltd. guard enterprise is headed by Mr. Igor Popov, Director General, who is a member of a Coordination Council of the Municipal Administration Chief of Internal Affairs of St-Petersburg and Leningradsky region. In December 1995 Mr. Popov started as Deputy Director General responsible for personnel, since April 1999 he has been working as a Director General for the company.
